Health and social work personnel with upper secondary education, assistant occupational therapist education or equivalent.
Target group: People with an interest in care for mental health work, and who would like a deeper professional and personal competence within this field, who want to acquire the competence to work with this target group, and who would like to contribute to the build-up of a professional service offer in hospitals and mental care institutions. |
Short description: |
On completion of the course you will have broad competence in mental health work and have an understanding of mental problems and illness, of prevention, treatment and rehabilitation, and the most important theories and forms of treament, know about user co-determination as an ideology and have a reflective, ethical attitude to people with mental problems and illnesses. You will be capable of organising courses of action together with the user and next of kin, volunteer groups and organisations.
