The course covers the theoretical part of the upper secondary level 2 curriculum (Vg2) for the Health Worker subject, allowing you to sit for a trade certificate examination following a period of recognized practice. The course covers the main areas “health promoting work”, “communication and teamwork” and “the profession in practice”.
Curricula The course follows the approved upper secondary curriculum for the Health Worker subject. The curriculum for Health Worker Level 2 (Vg2) comprises 3 different main areas:
Health promoting work What living habits, physical activity and diet mean for the prevention of illness and the promotion of good health.
Communication and teamwork What communication and cooperation mean for people with different needs for health or social care. Key topics: empathy, respect and tolerance as basic values for individual self-esteem and integrity.
The profession in practice How to maintain a ”whole person” approach. Planning, implementation, documentation and assessment of one’s own work form part of the course. Relevant rules and regulations and occupational ethics are also covered.
Courses are available as day or evening courses, allowing participants to combine work and education. Flexible starting dates. Overall achievement grade given in each of the prgramme subjects (main areas) and a cross-disciplinary practical examination |
